The tomato harvest season runs from August to September. The tomatoes are naturally dried in the sun and then placed in extra virgin olive oil together with aromatic herbs.
The high quality of this product can be easily identified by the delicious taste, bright red colour and texture.
Sun-dried tomatoes add a delicious extra flavour to the dishes. They are used as the final ingredient of salads and many other Italian dishes including sauces for pasta, fish and meat. They do not need to be cooked; add them to dishes before serving them together with a bit of extra virgin olive oil.
